Anuga is the world's largest food and beverage trade fair, held biennially at Koelnmesse in Cologne. It organises roughly 7,900 exhibitors from about 118 countries into ten segments, four of which are temperature-controlled: Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food, Anuga Frozen Food, Anuga Meat and Anuga Dairy. The 2027 edition runs 9 to 13 October.
Anuga is where European and global retail and foodservice buyers source chilled, frozen, meat and dairy lines, setting the product volumes and specifications that downstream temperature-controlled logistics must move. Category and packaging trends visible on the frozen and chilled floors are early signals of shifting reefer and cold-storage demand.
The floor is dominated by food and beverage manufacturers exhibiting to retail buyers, importers and exporters, wholesalers, and foodservice procurement. Seniority skews to category managers, sourcing and export directors, and owners of SME producers. Cold chain professionals attend as the logistics counterparts to these buyers rather than as a formal exhibitor category.
