Arena International's long-running regional clinical trial supply meeting, now in its 16th year, staged near Boston for the US Northeast biopharma cluster. It is a small, closed-format conference (roughly 100 attendees, 20+ speakers, 30+ exhibitors) built around presentations, fireside chats, panels and roundtables. The remit is the operational supply chain behind clinical trials: temperature-sensitive shipping, comparator sourcing, packaging and labelling, storage and distribution.
Sessions target the practical failure points in clinical cold chain - cold-chain qualification/validation, shelf life, long lead times and country-specific import rules - that decide whether investigational drugs, CGT and vaccines arrive usable. Attendees compare mitigations for cross-border shipping of temperature-sensitive research samples and IMP. The roundtable format is where sponsors and vendors trade real solutions on blinding, forecasting and depot strategy.
Clinical supply chain, logistics and distribution leads from sponsors and CROs, alongside depot, packaging and specialty-courier providers. The organiser states roughly 80% of attendees sit at C-suite or senior level, and the room is kept small by design. Company mix skews Northeast-US pharma, biotech and cell-and-gene developers with their supply and logistics service partners.
