The International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) is an annual three-day trade show at Expo Greater Amsterdam in Vijfhuizen, adjacent to the Royal FloraHolland auction and Schiphol Airport. Organised by HPP Exhibitions, it draws over 275 exhibitors from around 10 countries and roughly 25,000 professional visitors from 125+ countries. It spans breeders, growers, traders, and the hardware, packaging and logistics that move cut flowers and plants.
Cut flowers and potted plants are among the most time- and temperature-sensitive perishables in global trade, moving grower-to-auction-to-export within hours on refrigerated and air-freight lanes. IFTF is where the floral cold chain's packaging, cold-storage, reefer, air-cargo and post-harvest handling suppliers meet the importers and wholesalers buying their capacity. Export-lane, packaging-spec and handling arrangements get set on this floor ahead of the winter and Valentine's peak.
The floor is dominated by growers, breeders, importers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers of flowers and plants, plus suppliers of packaging, greenhouse hardware and logistics services. Attendance is trade-only and heavily international, weighted toward buyers and commercial roles from Europe, Africa and Latin America. Freight forwarders, air-cargo, cold-storage and reefer operators serving the floral trade work the show alongside the growers.
