LMCE is the international congress and exhibition of the Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine, combined with KSLM's 67th Annual Meeting and conducted in English. It spans clinical chemistry, diagnostics, molecular and transfusion medicine, drawing roughly 2,500 attendees from around 30 countries, with an accompanying diagnostics exhibition.
Laboratory medicine depends on temperature-controlled specimen transport, reagent and sample cold storage and, through its transfusion component, the blood cold chain - so the congress is adjacent to diagnostics and blood cold-chain practice in the Asia-Pacific region. Cold chain is a peripheral theme rather than a dedicated track.
Laboratory-medicine physicians, clinical scientists, diagnostics and transfusion specialists and laboratory managers, mainly from Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific, plus diagnostics, reagent and cold-storage vendors on the exhibition floor. Attendance is clinical-scientific and international.
