Overlaps withPDA/FDA Joint Regulatory Conference 2026
The BBTS Annual Conference is the yearly meeting of the British Blood Transfusion Society, the UK's society for transfusion professionals, held in 2026 at the SEC in Glasgow. Its programme spans transfusion science, laboratory practice, patient blood management and blood-service operations, within which component storage, handling and cold-chain integrity feature.
Blood components are temperature-controlled products, and the conference is where UK transfusion laboratory and blood-service practice - including storage, handling and the cold chain from blood centre to bedside - is discussed and benchmarked. Cold chain is inherent to the subject rather than a standalone stream.
Biomedical scientists, transfusion practitioners, haematologists, blood-service staff and quality managers from across the UK, plus transfusion-equipment, cold-storage and monitoring vendors. Attendance is UK-centred and clinical/laboratory in character.
