Festival of Biologics USA 2027

Festival of Biologics USA is Terrapinn's annual US biologics conference and exhibition, running roughly 13 co-located tracks that span protein/antibody discovery and engineering, upstream and downstream bioprocessing, formulation, fill/finish, and market access. The 2027 edition is scheduled for April 13-14 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, having moved from its prior San Diego dates. It is a large R&D-to-commercialization event of about 2,000 attendees, 200 speakers, and 150 exhibitors rather than a dedicated supply-chain show.

For cold chain professionals the relevant material sits in the fill/finish and supply-chain streams: freeze drying, injectables and aseptic fill, shipping systems, and global and local supply chain management. These sessions are where the formulation, lyophilization, and packaging decisions that set a biologic's temperature sensitivity and distribution requirements get made, upstream of the cold chain itself. It is a venue to read incoming product characteristics early and to reach the biotech and CMO teams defining them.

The room is dominated by pharma and biotech R&D, bioprocessing, and CMC roles, alongside academics, regulators, investors, and payers. Historically named participants include large pharma (Pfizer, Sanofi, Amgen, Novartis), contract manufacturers such as Samsung Biologics, and academic centers (Mayo Clinic, Yale, UCSD). Distribution and logistics specialists are a minority presence rather than the core audience.
