CPHI Japan 2027

CPHI Japan is the Japanese edition of Informa Markets' CPHI pharmaceutical-ingredients franchise, held annually at Tokyo Big Sight. The 2027 show groups the ICSE (contract services), P-MEC (machinery and analytics), InnoPack (packaging) and bioLIVE zones under one roof, covering APIs, excipients, finished-dose outsourcing, manufacturing equipment and drug-delivery/packaging systems. It is one of the larger pharma sourcing exhibitions in Asia-Pacific.

For cold chain professionals this is a sourcing floor rather than a conference: temperature-controlled packaging, drug-delivery and distribution suppliers exhibit mainly through the InnoPack zone, while biologics and biosimilar activity on the bioLIVE side drives downstream cold chain demand. There is no dedicated cold-chain track or GDP programme, so the value is supplier scouting and pipeline intelligence, not standards or decisions.

The floor is dominated by API and excipient manufacturers, CDMO/CMO business-development staff, procurement and sourcing managers from Japanese and regional pharma, plus packaging and machinery vendors. Seniority skews toward commercial, procurement and technical/manufacturing roles rather than logistics or quality leadership. Cold chain and distribution specialists attend as a minority of the audience.
